Q: When did the website Battlefields Europe begin?

A: This site was created in July 2007.

Q: How often is the site updated?

A: That depends on when I have the time! Usually during the school holidays! Less often recently due to work committments but I hope to be more active in future!

Q: How many people visit the site each month?

A: There are around 3,000 visitors to the site each month.

Q: Why did you begin this website?

A: To share the experiences I have had visiting battlefields across Europe and some of the thousands of photographs I have accumulated over the years.

Q: Why are there no articles on battlefields such as the Somme and Ypres?

A: These will be added in time. I wanted to focus more on some of the less well known battlefields.

Q: Why are there not more details on military campaigns in some of the articles?

A: These details can be readily found on other websites. This site focuses more on the visual aspects of the battlefields in their modern-day context.

Q: I would like to use a photograph from this website. Would that be okay?

A: Yes, please drop me an e-mail first and I will be happy to oblige!
